He joined the National desk in 2014. Mark has reported on mass shootings, terror attacks, natural disasters, politics, the death penalty, sexual misconduct allegations, police shootings and other major stories. He was part of The Post team that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 2013 Navy Yard shooting.
